Hi, I’m Dan. I like to tell stories.

Most people know my stories from my YouTube channel, The New Travel. My videos there have been viewed over 35 million times (as of Aug ’23).

My first love though has always been the written word.

The first story I ever remember writing was called “Daddy and the Dragon”. It was a riveting tale about my dad’s fight against a fire breathing dragon. I don’t remember who won the fight, but I do remember that I hadn’t learned how to write capital “D’s” yet, and so they were all facing the wrong direction. A more accurate reading of the title, I must confess, would be “Claddy and the Clragon”.

I was five.

Now, at age 33 – cynical and jaded, but at least getting my D’s right – I return to you in written form.
